Nigerian Breweries Rewards Top Six Nigerian Winners At Okpekpe Race
Nigerian Breweries Plc. , producer of Amstel Malta has rewarded the top six Nigerian winners at the Okpekpe International Road Race with cash prizes and branded items for their exceptional performance in the race.
The race, which was held in Benin, Edo state capital, featured over 3,000 runners from Kenya, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Uganda, Morocco, Israel, Bahrain and Nigeria, amongst others.
The six Nigerian athletes rewarded are Emmanuel Gyang, Gideon Goyet, Ismail Sodie, Deborah Pam, Rose Akusho and Hudung Gyang.
Ngozi Nkwoji , the Portfolio Manager, Non-Alcoholic Drinks, Nigerian Breweries Plc, speaking at the event, said: “We are proud of the performance of these six Nigerian athletes who have put in their best and have done so well to make us proud.”

The marathon, which started on Apana road and ended on Okpekpe road, also featured athletes from various countries who competed for top honours in the 10km race.
It would be recalled that the premium malt drink, Amstel Malta, is a major supporter of sports in Nigeria and will be doing same for the Super Eagles who will be representing the nation at the FIFA World Cup billed for June in Russia.
