Ecobank MD Signs on for Okpekpe Race

The Managing Director of Ecobank, Charles Kie, has signed on for the fifth Okpekpe international 10km race scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 13 in Okpekpe, Edo State.

Kie registered his name for the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Bronze Label race thursday at the bank’s corporate headquarters in Lagos and revealed he will be running to create awareness about a clean environment to give support to the Green-Girl project which the reigning Miss Nigeria, Chioma Stephanie Obiadi will be projecting at the Okpekpe race

INEC embraces Okpekpe race

Independent National Electoral Commission Commissioner for Information Technology in  the South-South  Mustafa Lecky has joined the list of celebrity runners who  have registered for the  Okpekpe International 10km Road Race.

The race takes place  in Okpekpe,  Edo State,  on May 13.

Nollywood star,University Don join Okpekpe celebrity train

Leading Nollywood actress and presenter of Bold Faces on TV, Tricia Eseigbe and the vice chancellor of Ambrose Alli University,Ekpoma,Professor Onimawo Ignatius Akhakhia have joined the celebrity cast for the fifth Okpekpe international 10km road race which holds next month in Okpekpe near Auchi,Etsako East local government in Edo state.
Both Eseigbe and Professor Onimawo will not be running for the cash prizes on offer at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Bronze Label event but for charity.

Pinnick,Aremu join Okpekpe road race celebrity cast

Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Melvin Pinnick and Labour leader,Comrade Isa Aremu have joined the growing list of celebrity runners confirmed for the fifth Okpekpe international 10km road race which holds next month in Okpekpe near Auchi in Etsako East local government of Edo state.
Pinnick,who is also an executive committee member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) says he is thrilled to associate with a race that has become a big image laundrer for Nigeria.

Runners from 11 countries to participate in 10 km Okpekpe road race

The organizer of the annual 10 km Okpekpe International road race in Edo State has disclosed that athletes from 11 counties across the globe are expected to participate in this year edition of the competition.

Mike Itemuagbor , chairman of Pamodzi Sports Marketing promoter of the road race gave the hint during a press briefing to herald the commencement of the competition at government house in Benin-City.

Obaseki registers for Okpekpe race, to run for charity

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has indicated interest to participate in the 2017 Okpekpe International 10km Road Race slated for May 13 in Okpekpe, Etsako East Local Government Area of the state.
